And the Red Dot winners are....

The 2012-2013 Red Dot Book Awards - with almost 7,500 votes from 15 schools cast in total over the four categories

Early Years: Chalk - by Bill Thomson


Younger Readers:  The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore - by William Joyce
Older Readers: Wonder - by R.J. Palacio
Mature Readers: The Fault in our Stars - by John Green

The results for our particular campus were slightly different.


Early Years:
  • First place:  Pete the Cat (not surprising, given the Book Week assembly in Primary was built around it).
  • Second place:  Chalk (as above)
  • Third place: Stuck - by Oliver Jeffers

Younger Readers:
  • First place: The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore (as above)
  • Second place: Precious and the Monkeys - by Alexander McCall Smith

  • Third Place:  Tua and the Elephant - by Randal Harris


Older Readers:
  • First place:  Wonder (as above)
  • Second place: Too Small to Fail - by Morris Gleitzman

  • Third place:  Titanic: Voices from the Disaster - by Deborah Hopkinson


Mature Readers:
  • First place: Erebos - by Ursula Poznanski
